CRITICAL THINKING
While conducting research into repurposed structures in their respective areas students will have to apply critical thinking to identify successful examples in their communities which will help to form an understanding of the effects of societal change. They will use the knowledge acquired to plan and run workshops about cultural heritage (“physical artefacts and intangible attributes”) thus increasing self-empowerment and self-esteem. Taking part in innovation ‘camps’ will generate creative solutions, stimulate innovative thinking and brain-storming skills. A photo exhibition will showcase the outcomes.
